Indiana men’s basketball landed their second transfer portal commitment of the day and sixth overall on Wednesday evening when former Villanova guard Bryce Lindsay announced his intention to join the Hoosiers for the 2026-27 season via social media.
Lindsay, a rising redshirt junior, spent this past season at Villanova in former Maryland head coach Kevin Willard’s first season with the Wildcats. He began his career at Texas A&M in 2023-24, appearing in eight games for the Wildcats before redshirting the remainder of the season and entering the transfer portal, spending the 2024-25 season with James Madison. He averaged 13.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists while shooting 45.5% from the field and 40.8% from 3-point range in his lone season with the Dukes.

Lindsay is originally from Baltimore was rated as a 3-star recruit in the class of 2023, ranking in as the 22nd highest rated combo guard and 180th highest-rated prospect overall, per the 247Sports composite.
Lindsay averaged 12.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists while shooting 38.3% from the field and 35.6% from 3-point range in his lone season at Villanova in 2025-26, scoring 25 points on 6-11 from beyond the arc in the Wildcats’ first round NCAA Tournament loss to Utah State.
This initial group of commitments was lacking in proven 3-point shooting ability at the college level. Lindsay changes that.
