Michigan State basketball center target commits to Indiana

On a day that saw the Spartans top transfer portal target get predicted to go elsewhere, Michigan State basketball saw their No. 2 target commit to the same school.

SMU transfer center Samet Yigitoglu has committed to Indiana, the same school that is expected to land Sherrell. This is a massive blow to the Spartans, coming from a team inside of their conference no-less, as these two guys were the top two center targets on the MSU big board.

Yigitoglu is a 7-foot-2, 265-pound big man from Turkey. In two years with the Mustangs, he averaged 10.4 points, 7.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 66 games.

The Spartans will now have to turn to the rest of their big board in order to land a commitment from a center, that is presumed to be a starter in the 2026-27 campaign.
