Nwabude averaged 5.4 points and 5.5 rebounds in 33 games (30 starts) this season. He also had 48 blocks and 17 steals.

Kent State University’s Rob Whaley Jr. (2) lines up his jump shot as Eastern Michigan University’s Godslove Nwabude (13) guards, Feb. 11, 2026, at M.A.C. Center in Kent, Ohio.

“I’m excited to add a player with Godslove’s experience and basketball attributes,” Kent State head coach Rob Senderoff said in a statement. “He has shown improvement over his two years at EMU, and I think he will continue to get better here at Kent State. I can’t wait to work with him.”

Nwabude scored a career-high 16 points on Feb. 17 against Central Michigan. He also had a double-double of 12 points and 14 rebounds against NJIT on Nov. 28.

Prior to Eastern Michigan, Nwabude played at Mt. Zion Prep.
