UNC basketball guard to enter transfer portal

The North Carolina Tar Heels are still constructing their roster after the hiring of Michael Malone as the next head coach for the program. With the transfer portal underway, it’s already been a very active cycle for the Tar Heels in terms of interest and even a few decisions.

While UNC saw Jaydon Young make the decision to return to the program after entering the portal, they received some bad news on Saturday.

Guard Luka Bogavac has entered his name into the transfer portal, just a few days after it was reported by TarHeel247 that he would be staying. In those past few days, something changed as Bogavac likely met with Malone and the staff.

Bogavac joined North Carolina last season, signing with the team out of Montenegro. He appeared in all 33 games, averaging 9.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game.

The wing shot 40.2 percent and 34.9 percent from the three-point line.
