Auburn basketball received great news early Friday morning as one of its most promising freshmen pieces announced his return for the 2026-27 season.
Sebastian Williams-Adams, Auburn basketball’s top signee from the 2025 recruiting cycle, announced Friday that he is returning to the program for his sophomore season. He joins fellow 2025 signee Simon Walker and guard Kevin Overton in announcing their intent to return for next season.

Williams-Adams appeared in 38 games this season as a true freshman, making 21 starts. He made 50.5% of his shots from the field and was 52% from the free-throw stripe. He averaged 7.0 points and 3.5 rebounds, and scored at least 10 points in 10 games this season. During Auburn’s NIT run, he averaged 8.8 points and scored 13 points in Auburn’s NIT Championship win over Tulsa after playing a tournament-high 36 minutes.

Williams-Adams was the No. 5 player from Texas in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 12 power forward in the nation. His return solidifies that two of Auburn’s three high school signees from the 2025 cycle will return for their senior seasons. Simon Walker revealed his plans to return on Thursday, while Kaden Magwood entered the transfer portal earlier this week.
