Michigan State reportedly in contact with New Mexico transfer center

It is the most tumultuous time in the college basketball calendar, with the transfer portal taking the full attention of every team across America. For Michigan State, they are not an exception to this, as they are also dipping into the transfer portal to address a need or two on the current roster.

The biggest position of need for the Spartans comes at the center position, where the Spartans need a starting caliber of player to play a big role this upcoming season. While the Spartans have been linked to one of the top centers in the portal, they have now been connected to another option.

New Mexico transfer Tomislav Buljan has reported that he has been in contact with Michigan State, amongst other schools. A 6-foot-9, 250 pound big man, he had a monster first season in college basketball, averaging 13.1 points and 10.3 rebounds per game.

A native of Split, Croatia, he is an older college basketball player, having played professionally in Europe before joining New Mexico for one season.

Aside from Michigan State, it is being reported that Buljan is hearing from Auburn, Cincinnati, Creighton, Marquette, Maryland, Saint Louis, Syracuse, Texas Tech and Virginia Tech.
