Michigan basketball set to host top-5 transfer recruit Juke Harris on visit

Michigan basketball has already landed a key transfer portal target and is already set to host another.

Juke Harris, the standout Wake Forest guard, is scheduled to head to Ann Arbor for a visit with the newly-minted national champions on Friday, April 10, a person with knowledge of the situation told the Free Press on condition of anonymity because they weren’t permitted to speak publicly.

The Wolverines got an up-close look at Juke Harris early in 2025-26 in an 85-85 win over Wake Forest in overtime and he only got better the rest of the way.

The second-team All-ACC guard was one of the top-15 scorers in the country this season, averaging 21.4 points per game to go with 6.5 rebounds per game. He stands 6 feet 7 and 200 pounds, but would be big enough to play the wing for Michigan next season as it looks to replace Yaxel Lendeborg. Alternatively, he could serve as a true shooting guard alongside five-star recruit Brandon McCoy, though Trey McKenney will get a lot of run at that spot.

Harris scored a total of 750 points in 2025-26 for Wake Forest, the second-most in a single season in program history. That included 17 games with 20 or more points, highlighted by a career-high 38 against Boston College.

Harris is a wildly talented scorer, shooting 44.4% from the floor and 33.2% on 3s while serving as the Demon Deacons’ primary option. He’s 60 points short of 1,000 for his career and will be one of the most coveted guards in the portal − ESPN has him as the No. 4 available player on the move.

Harris has two years of eligibility remaining.
