A postseason hero has been targeted by Kentucky in the transfer portal

The Kentucky Wildcats have made a lot of news since the transfer portal window opened as they try and build their roster in a key year for coach Mark Pope. Adding a guard who can consistently shoot and score is a focus, and Terrence Hill Jr. could be exactly what they’re looking for.

Most fans will remember Hill for what he did during this year’s March Madness. Playing for VCU, he scored 34 points in their upset win over North Carolina. The Tarheels knew he was getting the ball, and still could do nothing to stop him.

Hill was a lightly recruited guard out of Oregon who ended up at VCU. As a freshman, he didn’t log many minutes, but in year two, he took off. Last season, he averaged 15 points per game and made 37% of his three-point attempts. He also, as everyone witnessed, had no trouble performing under the brightest lights.

Kentucky has made contact with Hill via a Zoom meeting, and are definitely interested. They can use a scoring two-guard, but so can a lot of other high profile schools. The list of teams to contact him is long and full of top names. We will continue to update this story.
