Georgia Bulldogs basketball guard Jeremiah Wilkinson is one of the most interesting names in the transfer portal. The sophomore transferred from the California Bears to the Georgia Bulldogs last offseason, and his talent transitioned seamlessly to SEC ball.
Wilkinson averaged a team-high 17.4 points and 1.6 steals, along with 2.0 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. He shot 41% from the field and 35.7% from three-point land. He was the catalyst for one of the best offenses in recent memory for the Bulldogs. Even during the worst loss of the season to Saint Louis in the NCAA Tournament, Wilkinson put up 30 points.

Safe to say, there should be a lot of teams gunning for his services. A few are in the lead. 247Sports ranks Wilkinson as the No. 22 transfer in the country and the No. 4 combo guard.
Tennessee Volunteers

The Volunteers should be the favorite to land Wilkinson, and it would sting even more for Georgia if he went to Tennessee. Still, it makes all the sense in the world.
Leading scorer Ja’Kobi Gillespie is out of eligibility, with some potential draft stock to boot. After him, Bishop Bowell was the Vols’ top scorer among guards last year, with 6.2 points per game. With great guards like Dalton Knecht and Chaz Lanier in their past, the Volunteers will need a good guard to get back on track.

Rick Barnes is a sneakily good coach in March Madness, leading the Volunteers to the Elite Eight from 2024-26. With Wilkinson, he could get his squad over the top.
Kentucky Wildcats
Florida Gators forward Thomas Haugh (10) goes to the basket against Kentucky Wildcats forward Andrija Jelavic
The Wildcats should be aggressive in the transfer portal this season, just like how they were last season, and Wilkinson would be a good fit to grab for Mark Pope’s team.
Otega Oweh and Denzel Aberdeen are both out of eligibility, so Kentucky is losing their top…
