The University of North Carolina reportedly intends to hire former Denver Nuggets head coach Mike Malone as its next men’s basketball coach, according to ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
Malone coached the Denver Nuggets for 10 seasons, leading to the team to an NBA championship in the 2022-2023 season. Malone was fired by the Nuggets last season right before the NBA playoffs. After not landing a job last offseason, Malone is currently serving as an analyst on ESPN.
