With the national title game set to be played Monday night, the college basketball transfer portal will officially open Tuesday, and at least three Colorado Buffaloes plan to enter the portal.
Star freshman guard Isaiah Johnson was widely expected to depart, but the program is also losing starting forwards Sebastian Rancik and Bangot Dak.

Those losses are buoyed by the return of junior guard Barrington Hargress and a reported increase in financial backing for the program.
Still, as head coach, Tad Boyle has said multiple times recently, Hargress “can’t do it all by himself…and we need to get him help on the recruiting trail and incoming players.”
That process begins this week, when the 15-day transfer portal window opens, and the Buffs will work to fill several roster holes. Here is a closer look at Colorado’s offseason additions and departures:

2025-26 Per-Game Stats: 32 games, 30.6 minutes, 16.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 48.6% shooting from the field, 37.8% from 3-point range

Johnson was a burgeoning star for the Buffs this past season, and the more he performed, the more likely it was that he was going to leave Colorado. It will be fascinating to see where he lands this offseason.
OUT: Forward Sebastion Rancik

2025-26 Per-Game Stats: 29 games, 28.1 minutes, 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 40.4% shooting from the field, 33.1% from 3-point range
Rancik’s departure was a bit more surprising, but he never seemed to get accustomed to the physicality of the Big 12.
OUT: Forward Bangot Dak
