Vermont basketball offseason tracker: Starter to enter transfer portal

Vermont basketball’s 2025-26 season came to an end in a loss to UMBC in the America East Conference championship game last month. And with the transfer portal officially opening on Tuesday, April 7, offseason news has started to heat up for the Catamounts.

TJ Hurley, the league’s player of the year this winter, and TJ Long, the leading scorer on Vermont’s 2024 NCAA Tournament squad, are the most notable seniors to graduate from the program. But in this current era of college basketball and NIL, players are on the move at an exponential rate across the country.
