Men’s Basketball: TCU G Brock Harding to return for 2026-27 season

TCU junior guard Brock Harding shared on Instagram earlier today that he’ll be returning to the Horned Frogs for the 2026-27 season. The former Iowa transfer averaged 8.0 points and 5.6 assists on 37.2 percent shooting from the floor during his first year with TCU. The 6-foot guard from Moline, Illinois has one year of eligiblity remaining and will be a key member of the backcourt as the Horned Frogs build for the 2026-27 season.

It was an up and down season for Harding, who arrived in Fort Worth after shooting a career-best 45.4 percent from the field and 39.8 percent from 3-point range during his sophomore season with the Hawkeyes. Harding was the starting point guard and led the Horned Frogs in assists, but his shooting numbers were down and he also struggled at the free-throw line, where he made just 64.6 percent after averaging over 77 percent at Iowa.

Nevertheless, Harding has three years of experience under his belt and has started 59 games over the last two seasons. TCU will need his ball handling and scoring in the backcourt, which will lose senior guard Jayden Pierre and already lost redshirt sophomore guard R.J. Jones to the transfer portal. TCU has signed one JUCO guard in Trent Lincoln, while true freshman Bugg Edwards is another player to watch in the backcourt next season.

Defensively, Harding led the Horned Frogs in steals and averaged 1.7 per game. Harding also played more minutes than any other player on the TCU roster, averaging 31.8 per game. The former Hawkeye has played in over 100 games over his three-year collegiate career.
