The Alabama Crimson Tide suffered a 90-77 loss to Michigan on Friday evening, eliminating them from the NCAA Tournament.

Alabama held their own throughout the first 20 minutes of the game, but Michigan’s size was ultimately too much for the Tide to handle in the second half of play. Star guard Labaron Philon Jr. was elite yet again on the offensive end of the floor, as the superstar playmaker has potentially played his final game as a member of the Crimson Tide.

Labaron Philon Jr. dominates offensively, records 35 points

Philon was excellent on the offensive end of the floor against Michigan. The star sophomore recorded 35 points on 10-of-21 shooting, as Philon has potentially played his final game as a member of the Crimson Tide due to his upcoming NBA draft decision.

Philon shot an impressive 6-of-14 from behind the arc as well, as the Alabama legend was electrifying throughout the entire 2025-26 campaign.

Amari Allen stays ice cold, records just 4 points

Allen has been ice cold throughout the entire month of March. The talented freshman was a no-show yet again against Michigan, as Allen recorded just 4 total points on an ugly 1-of-6 from the field.

Allen was a focal point on the Alabama offense for the majority of the year prior to cooling off, as the forward could emerge with a much larger role next season should he return to Tuscaloosa.

Alabama as team shoots just 30% from behind the arc

The Tide shot 14-of-47 from behind the arc against Michigan, ultimately playing a massive role in the season-ending loss. Alabama was unable to stay hot in the second half despite an excellent start, as Michigan was quickly able to take the upper hand in the final 20 minutes of play.

The Tide’s season is officially over following the loss to Michigan, as Alabama will look to regroup in hopes of competing for a national title yet again next season.
