What did Rick Pitino get in trouble for?

Pitino found himself at the center of multiple scandals during his time at Louisville. The NCAA vacated the Cardinals’ 2013 national championship after Louisville was found to have given improper benefits to players — those benefits were sexual acts paid for by the basketball program for both recruits and current players.

Later, Pitino was fired when Louisville came under federal investigation for a pay-for-play scheme involving recruits before the NIL era.

Off the court, Pitino was involved in a sex scandal with a waitress that began in 2003 but first became public in 2009.
