Tennessee-Virginia basketball score prediction in March Madness

The second round of the NCAA Tournament will continue on Sunday. No. 6 seed Tennessee (23-11) will face No. 3 seed Virginia (30-5) at Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Tipoff between the Vols and Cavaliers is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. EDT. TNT will televise the second-round basketball matchup with Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Steve Lappas (analyst) and Evan Washburn (reporter) on the call.

Ahead of Sunday’s basketball game, Tennessee has a 60.5 percent chance to defeat the Cavaliers, according to ESPN’s Matchup Predictor. Nolan Analytics projects Virginia to defeat the Vols, 71-70.

Virginia leads the all-time basketball series against Tennessee, 8-6, dating to Feb. 22, 1917. Rick Barnes is 1-0 against the Cavaliers as Tennessee’s head coach.

Tennessee advanced to the NCAA Tournament second round after a, 78-56, victory against No. 11 Miami University (32-2). Virginia defeated No. 14 seed Wright State (23-12), 82-73, in the first round.
