West Region predictions. Can Arizona reach Final Four?

If you ask the oddsmakers, Arizona is a runaway favorite to reach the Final Four. The Wildcats enter the NCAA Tournament with -125 odds of winning the West Region. The next best team, Purdue, comes in at +360.

But Arizona fans know it’s not so simple. Since 2001, the Wildcats have earned a No. 1 seed thrice and a No. 2 seed five times. They have not turned any of those regular-season performances into a Final Four appearance, instead often meeting March heartbreak, even against teams that should have been outmatched on paper.

This year, they encounter a region stacked with offensive firepower. Of the 11 most efficient offenses in the nation, per KenPom, five reside in the West Region.
