7 men’s college basketball teams that declined bids to the 2026 NIT

March Madness is here, and the field of 68 teams in the NCAA tournament was officially revealed on Sunday.

While Selection Sunday brought good news for quite a few teams on the bubble, including Miami (Ohio), which suffered its first loss in the MAC tournament quarterfinals, that wasn’t the case for all of them. For teams like Oklahoma and Auburn, which finished just on the wrong side of the bubble line, it was a disappointing Sunday.
