Cincinnati is reportedly moving on from men’s basketball coach Wes Miller. The school reportedly parted ways with Miller on Friday after another disappointing year, per ESPN’s Pete Thamel.
The reported move comes two days after the Bearcats suffered a one-point loss to UCF in the second round of the Big 12 tournament.
While Miller put up a solid 100-74 record with the team, most of its wins came outside Cincinnati’s conference. The Bearcats put up a 41-51 record in conference play during five seasons under Miller. During his time with the team, Miller coached Cincinnati in both the Big 12 and AAC. He posted a winning record in conference play just one time over that period, when he led the team to an 11-7 record in the AAC during the 2022-23 season.

Prior to joining Cincinnati, Miller helped turn UNC Greensboro into a consistent contender. After going 60-92 in his first five seasons with the school, Miller engineered a massive turnaround, going 125-43 in his final five years with UNC Greensboro. The team reached the NCAA tournament twice over that period.
