The Wisconsin Badgers capped off their regular season with a big win over the Purdue Boilermakers, winning 97-93 on the road to secure their 22nd win of the season.
The win was Wisconsin’s fourth straight over a ranked opponent and added another Quad 1A win to the team’s resume heading into the Big Ten Tournament. Prior to the game, Wisconsin was hovering around the seven-seed line, with the opportunity to jump up with a win.

Now, ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has the Badgers on the six-seed line, joining North Carolina, Louisville, and Kentucky. The No. 7 seeds in Lunardi’s Bracketology are St. Mary’s, BYU, Villanova, and Georgia.
Wisconsin is now all the way up to No. 23 in KenPom, ranking 16th in offensive adjusted efficiency and 53rd in defensive adjusted efficiency. They’re the 2nd-highest No. 6 seed behind Louisville (16th in KenPom) and only below St. Mary’s (22nd) of the seven seeds.
Wisconsin also now has eight Quad 1 wins, tied for seventh in the country, and they’ll have a couple of opportunities to add to that this week. While Thursday’s game against either Washington or USC should be a Quad 2 game, the Badgers will get another Quad 1A opportunity against Illinois on Friday in the quarterfinals if they win.
Regardless, the Badgers are climbing up the rankings and could maybe even see themselves climb up to a five seed with a strong showing at the Big Ten Tournament.
