USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll: Michigan ranking after Illinois win

Michigan basketball got another huge win last week, rebounding from the loss to Duke and the closer-than-expected call against Minnesota midweek. The Wolverines went on the road and beat a highly-ranked Illinois team, the first in 10 tries dating back several seasons.

Yes, the Wolverines also lost LJ Cason for the year, but the question now that remains is where will the maize and blue end up come Selection Sunday?

In the eyes of the coaches across college basketball, the win on Friday changed nothing. Michigan basketball remains ranked No. 3 (as it also does in the AP Top 25). The Wolverines now have wins over No. 8 MSU, No. 9 Nebraska, No. 11 Illinois, No. 12 Gonzaga, and No. 14 Purdue — with three of the aforementioned taking place on the road, and Gonzaga being a neutral site game. The two losses have come to No. 1 Duke and unranked (but receiving votes) Wisconsin.

Up next, the Wolverines will face unranked Iowa in Iowa City before hosting the Spartans.
