KenPom predicts winner of Tuesday’s game between Auburn and Oklahoma

The Auburn Tigers (15-12, 6-8) will look to carry their momentum from defeating Kentucky as they travel to face the Oklahoma Sooners (13-14, 3-11) on Tuesday night. The Sooners are having a tough season and have lost two games in a row versus Tennessee and Texas A&M. They are looking to spoil Auburn’s postseason chances with a victory.

The Tigers are favored to earn a victory over the Sooners on Tuesday night. Auburn defeated Oklahoma last season in their first matchup as SEC opponents, 98-70 at Neville Arena, with Johni Broome leading the way with 15 points. Current Auburn guard Tahaad Pettiford scored 11 points in the game and connected on three shots from beyond the three-point line. This time the game will be in Norman, Oklahoma, where the Sooners are 9-5 this season in SEC play.

KenPom is predicting a final score of 81-80 in favor of Auburn and a 53% chance of victory for the Tigers. A win for Auburn on Tuesday may not improve a potential tournament seeding, but a loss would definitely place them back on the bubble. KenPom believes Auburn will go 3-1 for the remainder of the season, with the lone loss in the season finale versus Alabama.

Oklahoma is a solid three-point shooting team at 35.8%, and is led in scoring by guard Nigel Pack at 15.7 points per game. He struggled in the Sooners’ 75-71 loss to Texas A&M with just six points on 2 of 9 shooting. Auburn would not mind another performance like that one by Pack. The Tigers will be hoping for a bounce-back performance from Keyshawn Hall after he scored just 10 points versus Kentucky. He had one of his worst shooting games, going just 3 of 15.

The Auburn Tigers travel to face the Oklahoma Sooners on Tuesday night with a scheduled start time of 8 p.m. CT and the game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
