Vanderbilt basketball gives injury updates on Duke Miles, Frankie Collins

Vanderbilt men’s basketball’s second-leading scorer, Duke Miles, “will be back soon,” and Frankie Collins’ injury status is “much more uncertain,” Vanderbilt coach Mark Byington said Feb. 14 after the Commodores defeated Texas A&M 82-69 in an SEC matchup at Memorial Gymnasium.

Collins, a 6-foot-1 junior guard, hasn’t played since Dec. 17, and Miles has been absent from the lineup since late January. Both suffered knee injuries.

“Duke’s attacking his rehab. He’s doing workouts and things like that,” Byington said. “He’s competitive. He wants to get back as being a great teammate. I think we’ll have him back soon. It’s hard to give a timetable, but I think within a week or two for sure.”
