We are truly living in the future of college basketball, as Clemson is traveling across the country for an in-conference matchup that won’t tip off until 10 pm Eastern time. The Tigers (18-4, 8-1 ACC) face the Stanford Cardinals (14-8, 3-6 ACC).
With Stanford’s net rating sitting at 77, this currently stands as a Quad Two matchup. The Cardinals are 9-5 at home and 4-3 in quad one matchups, but are in a four-game losing streak. They sit 13th in the ACC and are outside the top ten in both points scored and allowed.
Clemson is on a two-game win streak and has won 11 of its last 12. They sit in second in the ACC, just 1.5 games behind Duke. Clemson plays Duke next Saturday, on Valentine’s Day, so they must remain in second place. Clemson will likely have to beat Stanford, Cal and Virginia Tech to hold on to their position in the ACC. Most importantly, the Tigers will have the opportunity to build on their impressive road win streak. Clemson has won its last 12 conference road games, tying 2017-2019 Virginia for the fourth-longest streak in ACC history.
