West Virginia returns to Hope Coliseum this evening, looking to reset after a tough road trip through Arizona as they host a Kansas State team that comes to Morgantown shorthanded.

The Mountaineers are 13-7 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 play, tied for seventh entering the week. Kansas State arrives at 10-10 and 1-6 in conference action, but their record doesn’t reflect all the details. Jerome Tang’s group has been dealing with injuries that have limited the rotation and changed how they have to play.

Kansas State scored a season-low 62 points in Saturday’s loss to Kansas, but that game also highlighted the fact that when PJ Haggerty is on the floor, the offense always has a chance. Haggerty is averaging 23.4 points per game, placing him fifth nationally, and is exceptionally good at using defenders’ hands and body position against them.
