Nebraska forward Braden Frager won Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors on Monday. The Lincoln native averaged 21.5 points over two games while shooting 59% from the field and 50% from three-point range.
It’s the third time that Frager won the Freshman of the Week award this season. That’s the most by a Nebraska freshman since Bryce McGowens won the honor eight times during the 2021-22 season.

Frager had a career-high 23 points in Nebraska’s 90-55 win over Oregon. He followed that with a 20-point performance in the Huskers’ 77-58 victory over Northwestern.
Overall, Frager’s development has been impressive. He has become one of the more electrifying freshmen in the Big Ten Conference and has emerged as a key contributor for a Nebraska team ranked in the top ten and undefeated.
The Huskers will retake the floor on Wednesday night, hosting the Washington Huskies at the Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. CT on the Big Ten Network.
