Wisconsin basketball improved to 13-5 (5-2 Big Ten) with a 96-87 home win over Rutgers on Saturday afternoon.
Nick Boyd led the way for the Badgers, finishing with 32 points and nine assists, while shooting 8-of-16 from the floor and 14-of-15 from the free-throw line. Starters John Blackwell and Nolan Winter also contributed 19 and 18 points, respectively, as Wisconsin held off Rutgers’ second-half surge to hold on to the victory.

The triumph is Wisconsin’s fourth in a row, all of which have come against conference opponents. That winning streak has redirected the team’s trajectory after it struggled through much of its nonconference schedule.
With the win, which saw Wisconsin continue to round into contending form, here is where the team now stands in KenPom and ESPN’s Basketball Power Index.
Wisconsin basketball’s updated KenPom, ESPN Basketball Power Index ranking after Rutgers win
KenPom: No. 38 overall, No. 39 offense, No. 63 defense, No. 39 strength of schedule
