Conference play has finally begun, and the Big 12 Conference looks as daunting as ever. The conference has the top two teams in the country, both of which have yet to drop a game. Not to mention that Houston is in the top 10, with BYU and Texas Tech falling just outside. Talk about death and difficult matchups week in and week out.
Even early on in January, it seems like a Big 12 team making the national championship game for a second season in a row would be a good bet. Can anyone make Arizona or Iowa State falter? That will be answered sooner rather than later.

As conference play heads into its second week, here is an updated look at the full conference power rankings.
