Boston College returns home Tuesday night looking to steady itself in ACC play when it hosts NC State at Conte Forum.

The Boston College Eagles enter the matchup at 7-7 overall and 0-1 in conference action after a 65-53 loss to Georgia Tech on Saturday. The Eagles have been solid on their home floor, posting a 6-2 record, and will try to lean on that familiarity as they look to snap an early ACC skid. BC has shown an ability to separate in wins, going 4-2 in games decided by double figures, but consistency has remained elusive over the past two weeks.

Offensively, Boston College continues to revolve around Donald Hand Jr., who is averaging 15.1 points over his last 10 games. Chase Forte has also provided steady secondary scoring at 6.8 points per game. As a team, the Eagles are averaging 68.2 points over their last 10 contests while shooting 38.9 percent from the field, numbers that reflect a group still searching for rhythm on that end. Defensively, BC has kept games manageable, allowing 67.1 points per game during that same stretch.

The challenge stiffens with the arrival of the NC State Wolfpack, which comes to Boston at 10-5 overall and 1-1 in ACC play. NC State is coming off a 76-61 loss to No. 21 Virginia that snapped a three-game winning streak and produced season lows across several offensive categories. Prior to that, the Wolfpack ranked near the top of the ACC in scoring, shooting efficiency, and 3-point production.

Much of that success has been driven by Quadir Copeland, who led NC State with 15 points and four assists against Virginia. Over the past nine games, Copeland is averaging 16.2 points and 6.7 assists while shooting better than 56 percent from the field.
