MADISON – For the eighth consecutive year, Wisconsin volleyball has finished as one of the top 10 teams in the country.
The Badgers finished at No. 5 in the final AVCA coaches poll of the 2025 season, which was released on Dec. 22.

Wisconsin finished behind the three other Final Four teams – Texas A&M, Kentucky and Pittsburgh – as well as Nebraska, which was ranked No. 1 throughout the season before losing to eventual national champion Texas A&M in the NCAA regional final.
The Badgers finished the 2025 season with a 28-5 record and appeared in their fifth Final Four in the last seven seasons. They defeated several of the other teams in the final coaches poll, including No. 6 Texas, No. 7 Stanford, No. 8 Purdue, No. 13 Indiana, No. 14 Kansas, No. 15 Minnesota and No. 19 North Carolina.
UW finished above its preseason coaches poll ranking, which was No. 8.
