How to watch Wisconsin’s Milwaukee showdown vs. Villanova

The Wisconsin Badgers are taking on the Villanova Wildcats on Friday, coming off a nine-day break after a 90-60 blowout loss to the Nebraska Cornhuskers last week.

Wisconsin has seen some ups and downs this season, losing by over 25 points twice, while also having some major scoring bursts. They’ve had problems on both sides of the ball.

Offensively, shot selection and the misses from three have been the main issues in the losses. Defensively, the Badgers just haven’t played well enough as a team yet. They’ve seen struggles both on the perimeter and in the paint, which head coach Greg Gard attested to being due to effort issues.

Wisconsin faces a Villanova team that has gone 8-2 this season with losses to BYU (71-66) and Michigan (89-61). Villanova hasn’t faced too competitive of a schedule yet, with its lone notable win coming against Pitt last week.

The Wildcats are led by a young guard duo of Bryce Lindsay (sophomore) and Acaden Lewis (freshman). The duo is Villanova’s leading scorers, while Lewis leads the team in assists and steals as well.

Villanova has been a fairly efficient team this season, averaging over 80 points a contest on 47.2 percent from the field and 36.8 percent from deep. KenPom has them as the No. 25 offense in the country.
