Iowa (9-2, 1-1 Big Ten) stayed just inside the latest USA TODAY Sports Men’s Basketball Coaches Poll rankings. The Hawkeyes are the nation’s No. 25 team, sliding two spots after last week’s action. Iowa earned 71 points from the voters.
Michigan occupies the nation’s top spot for the second week in a row. Other Big Ten teams inside the rankings include No. 6 Purdue, No. 9 Michigan State, No. 15 Nebraska and No. 18 Illinois.

Fellow Big Ten squads USC, UCLA, Wisconsin and Ohio State are among the group of teams receiving votes.
Iowa split its two contest last week, falling at No. 4 Iowa State, 66-62, despite building a 13-point first-half lead and carrying a 33-25 advantage into the halftime break. The Hawkeyes were led by senior forward Tavion Banks’ 14 points against the Cyclones.
