Wisconsin basketball added an important tally to the win column on Saturday afternoon, as it defeated Marquette 96-76.
The game’s final score tells an accurate story. The Badgers controlled the contest from the start, leading by double-digits for the final 26-plus minutes of game time. Star guard John Blackwell led that effort, tallying 30 points and three assists while shooting 8-of-17 from the floor, 6-of-12 from 3 and 8-of-10 from the free-throw line.

Wisconsin’s 20-point win backed up the perceived ratings difference between the two teams. With the Badgers on the fringe of the nation’s top 25, Marquette is now close to falling outside of KenPom’s top 100.
