Iowa State makes statement with dominant road win at No. 1 Purdue

It’s time to take Iowa State seriously as a title contender.

The Cyclones validated an undefeated start Saturday afternoon with the most impressive road win any men’s college basketball team has posted so far this season.

With Tyrese Haliburton cheering courtside in a backward Iowa State cap and jacket, Iowa State went on the road and demolished top-ranked Purdue 81-58. The Cyclones pulled away from the Boilermakers in the second half, quickly turning a four-point halftime lead into a runaway.
