No. 22 Indiana men’s basketball is set to take on No. 6 Louisville on Saturday afternoon at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
It’s one of the more anticipated matchups of the Hoosiers’ season given the Cardinals’ quick rise back to prominence under Pat Kelsey and the fact that Louisville is right in Indiana’s backyard. The two programs aren’t necessarily rivals, but there’s far too much shared history and geography with both overlapping around the Ohio River.

Indiana opened as a slight 4.5-point underdog against Louisville with an over/under of 157.5, per FanDuel Sportsbook.
The two sides boast top-50 offenses in KenPom’s efficiency metrics, with each proving capable of getting hot from deep. Louisville more so, with the Cardinals’ offense ranking 4th nationally in efficiency. The Hoosiers have cooled some since a searing start, falling to 47th.
If Indiana does anything poorly, it’s handling rim protection. A solid amount of this may come from some ill-advised looks at the rim against Minnesota, but the Hoosiers rank all the way down at 305th in block percentage with 11.9% of their attempts getting swatted. That’s, uh, bad.
