Vote for this week’s Marion County Athlete of the Week by choosing from 8 nominees

Thanksgiving had several athletes on the sidelines this week but just like in college, “Feast Week” brings out the top basketball programs throughout the week.

This week’s candidate pool for Athlete of the Week is filled with high-performing basketball players who saw the court at least once this holiday break. Dunnellon’s Kameron Wheeler is the only football nominee after much-needed performances on both sides of the ball on Friday night.

This year’s Athlete of the Week system is a little different. The poll ends Friday at noon, and the winner will be announced shortly after on this page. The twist is the highlight video element displayed for nominees.
