How to Watch: UConn at Kansas

After a very successful trip to Vegas and the Players Era “Tournament,” Kansas returns to the old barn to host UConn in a marquee non-conference matchup.

Kansas will reportedly be without star freshman Darryn Peterson for a seventh straight game; Peterson is recovering from a hamstring injury. Bill Self noted that Peterson is “very close” and “still not 100 percent. He is day-to-day.”

The Jayhawks are 4-0 against UConn all-time; KU won the last matchup between these two programs in December of 2023 by a 69-65 score.

Fun Facts

Kansas has won 23-straight non-conference games at Allen Fieldhouse.

The Jayhawks are 6-2 so far this year; KU has not started a season 6-3 since 2013-14.

So far this season, Flory Bidunga is leading the Big 12 in field goal percentage and blocked shots.

Under Bill Self, Kansas is 12-1 against AP Top-5 teams inside Allen Fieldhouse. The only loss was to Baylor in January of 2020.
