Kansas basketball coach Bill Self talks Arkansas loss in March Madness
Check out everything Kansas basketball coach Bill Self and his players had to say following a NCAA tournament loss in March Madness against Arkansas.
LAWRENCE — It appears Kansas basketball has lost yet another player to the transfer portal, as a KU official confirmed Thursday that AJ Storr has entered it.
Storr spent this past season with the Jayhawks as a junior guard, after previous stops in college at St. John’s and Wisconsin. Although he arrived in Lawrence with a lot of fanfare, his role never materialized in the way many expected. He ended up playing in 34 games with four starts while averaging 15.7 minutes, 6.1 points, and 1.7 rebounds per game.
Storr joins an ever-growing list of Kansas players who are exploring their options after the end of the 2024-25 season. There’s also senior guard David Coit, freshman guard Rakease Passmore, junior guard Rylan Griffen, freshman forward Flory Bidunga, and redshirt junior forward Zach Clemence.
All could elect to depart a team that finished 21-13 overall and saw its season end in the round of 64 of the NCAA tournament with a loss against Arkansas.
Storr’s potential flashed at times this season, especially late. He put in noteworthy performances in the Big 12 Conference tournament against UCF, as well as the NCAA tournament game against Arkansas. The issue was there wasn’t the consistency there to necessitate a more substantial role from him.
