The Iowa Hawkeyes are reportedly among the final five for Portland transfer forward Austin Rapp.

According to On3’s Joe Tipton, Iowa joins a group of finalists that also features Clemson, Michigan, Oregon and Wisconsin.

Rapp just completed his freshman season at Portland where he averaged 13.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 39.7% from the field and 35.2% from 3-point range. The 6-foot-10, 230 pound forward is originally from Melbourne, Australia.

Rapp scored a season-high 24 points against Oregon State in a Feb. 13 contest and he also poured in a season-high six made 3-pointers against San Diego on March 1.

As Iowa continues to restock its roster following a series of transfer portal departures, adding Rapp to coach Ben McCollum’s first roster in Iowa City would be a big win if it comes to fruition.

Bennett Stirtz, the top-ranked player in the transfer portal per On3, has already followed McCollum from Drake to Iowa.

Iowa is also bringing back Cooper Koch after the 6-foot-8 forward explored his transfer portal options but chose to return to Iowa. Koch appeared in 10 games, averaging 4.6 points and 2.1 rebounds per game while shooting 48.4% from the field and 42.9% from 3-point range.

Former Drake and DePaul guard Conor Enright is another recent transfer portal visitor to the Hawkeyes.
