As the Iowa basketball program reforms its roster ahead of Ben McCollum’s first year, the Hawkeyes have added four-star transfer portal forward Cam Manyawu to the roster as he rejoins McCollum after playing one season at Drake.
The Kansas City, Mo. native is a 6-foot-7, 205-pound power forward who averaged 7.1 points on 57.8% shooting from the field, 5.3 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 0.9 assists, and 0.7 blocks per game while starting every game for the Bulldogs last season.
Before joining Drake, Manyuwu played one season at Wyoming, where he averaged 7.5 points on 60.7% shooting from the field, 6.7 rebounds, 1.0 steals, 0.9 assists, and 0.5 blocks per game while starting in 10 of the Cowboys’ 32 games in the 2023-24 campaign.
According to 247Sports’ 2025 College Basketball Transfer Portal listing, Manyawu is the No. 30 power forward and No. 164 overall player in the transfer portal.
The addition of Manyawu makes him the second Iowa commitment of the day and further supplements the apparent Drake-Iowa pipeline that has flourished since Ben McCollum’s hiring.
