Cal State Northridge transfer forward Marcus Adams Jr. has committed to the Arizona State basketball program, per On3.
Adams is a four-star transfer prospect, per 247Sports. 247Sports has him listed as the No. 10 small forward of this transfer portal cycle, and the No. 84 overall player in this transfer portal cycle. 247Sports also had ranked Adams as the No. 9 small forward recruit in the country out of Narbonne High in California and the No. 51 overall recruit.
Coming into Tempe with a 6-8, 220-pound frame, he also steps on campus with a second-team All-Big West selection earned this year at CSUN.
Adams was a 2023 high school recruit. Originally signing to play at Kansas out of high school, he transferred twice in that 2023 offseason. The first transfer was to Gonzaga, and the second transfer was to BYU.

In those 32 games, he averaged 16.1 points per game and one steal per game. He shot 52.6% from the field and 39.5% from deep.
The Sun Devils’ depth chart at forward for next year remains unclear. All that is known is that ASU’s 2025 high school recruiting class has one forward committed in three-star (247Sports) power forward Kash Polk, who is also 6-8.
While they have picked up a commitment from four-star (247Sports) transfer point guard Maurice Odum, Adams is the first forward in the transfer portal to commit to ASU.
Adams joins a Big 12 Conference that has three teams among the best 35 in fewest points allowed in the nation this season. The Big West had one of those this season, UC San Diego, which allowed 61.8 points per game on the year. That is good for sixth-best in the nation.
Adams posted 47.6/40/83.3 shooting splits and…
