TBS March Madness broadcast confuses Kentucky, Purdue logos in error

It’s not easy to confuse Kentucky and Purdue’s logos.

Purdue and Kentucky don’t have too much in common in logos or colors, and the thing they both may have in common is that Tennessee and Indiana fans do not care for either school. (For different reasons.)

But the TBS March Madness broadcast confused the two in a score graphic in the first half of Friday’s game between Tennessee basketball and Kentucky in Indianapolis.

While that is a rough mistake, Purdue does play Houston in Friday’s second Sweet 16 game in Indy. Come to think of it, Kentucky and Houston’s logos are easy to mistake.

At least it’s not this monstrosity that made the rounds across social media this week.

Plus Tennessee basketball has had enough of the Boilermakers in the NCAA Tournament, though the potential matchup still lingers in the Elite Eight if each team wins.
