FSU men’s basketball head coach Luke Loucks talks first 10 days of new role

Florida State men’s basketball coach Luke Loucks landed his first signee from the transfer portal on Saturday. Former Drexel guard, Kobe MaGee, announced on his social page that FSU will be his ‘new home.’

MaGee chose the Seminoles over Wake Forest after visiting both ACC schools earlier this week. He will be part of Loucks’s transfer portal class of 2025.

MaGee is a sharpshooter, which FSU desperately needs on the roster. He played his first three seasons at Drexel.

This year, the 6-foot-6 Allentown, Pennsylvania native started every game, averaging 14 points a night, shooting 47.2 percent from the field and 43.9 percent from 3.

He also averaged 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game. In his final year, he was named third-team All-CAA. The Dragons finished 18-15.
