The NCAA transfer portal officially opened Monday and Xavier has felt the impact right away.
Three players from Xavier’s roster have now opted to jump in the transfer portal over the last 12 hours. Trey Green and Dailyn Swain, two members of Xavier’s 2023 recruiting class, were the first dominoes to fall.
Forward Cam Fletcher is the latest, according to a report from Travis Branham of 247Sports.
Xavier practiced patience when it gave one of its final scholarships to Fletcher out of the transfer portal last offseason.
Fletcher played in just 17 games over his final two seasons at Florida State and was working his way back from knee surgery.
Fletcher was cleared to play in October but was rarely used this season, appearing in just 11 games. Fletcher scored eight points in Xavier’s 119-58 win over Morgan State Dec. 10.
Fletcher was originally a four-star recruit from St. Louis who began his career with John Calipari’s Kentucky Wildcats before moving on to Florida State.
