DENVER − Michigan basketball found some more March Madness magic on Saturday, pulling out a win over Texas A&M at Ball Arena, 91-79, to make the Sweet 16.

The first half was fast paced with the teams trading leads, but the Aggies made some key plays heading into the break and led 39-35.

Texas A&M came out of the gates flying in the second half and led by as many as 10 points, but as Michigan has done all season, it responded and made it close late.

Once it was in a close late, the Wolverines were in their comfort zone.

Coming into the game, Texas A&M’s rebounding was the story to watch, but Michigan more than held its own in that department, with the Wolverines ultimately winning the rebound battle 48-39.

Michigan really struggled from the 3-point line, floating below 30% for most of the game, but still found a way to survive and advance thanks to 29 free throws and some timely plays late.

Next up, Michigan will play either Auburn or Creighton in the Sweet 16 in Atlanta. The Wolverines have won five straight games, including three in the Big Ten tournament and two in the NCAA tournament.

This story will be updated shortly.
