Clemson basketball starts another NCAA Tournament run with Thursday’s first-round game against upset-minded McNeese in Providence, Rhode Island.

The Tigers (27-6) return two major contributors from last year’s March Madness run to the Elite Eight in Chase Hunter and Ian Schieffelin. Both will need to be at their best for a similar run this month.

McNeese (27-6) won the Southland Conference regular-season and tournament titles featuring the ball-pressure style that coach Will Wade, a Clemson alum, has featured throughout his career.

The two teams will know who their second-round opponent will be when the game tips off, with 4-seed Purdue and 13-seed High Point leading off Thursday in Providence.
