Michigan State moves on to the semifinals following Friday’s win over Oregon

Michigan State basketball is moving on to the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament.

The Spartans used a number of runs to get by a pesky Oregon Ducks squad on Friday afternoon from the Big Ten Tournament. Michigan State led throughout the second half and eventually pulled away for a relatively convincing 74-64 victory in the quarterfinals of the league tournament.

Michigan State was once again led by star freshman Jase Richardson — who finished the game with 17 points. The Spartans also got double-digit scoring efforts from Jaden Akins (12 points), Jeremy Fears Jr. (11 points) and Coen Carr (10 points).

With the win, Michigan State will now play the winner of UCLA and Wisconsin on Saturday afternoon. That game is scheduled to tip off at 1 p.m. ET and will be televised on CBS.

Before moving on to tomorrow’s matchup, let’s relive this Spartans’ victory over Oregon with the game highlights below.
