Top-seeded Florida Gulf Coast University (28-3, 18-0 ASUN) is hoping to advance to the ASUN conference championship later today.

First they’ll have to face off against No. 4 Eastern Kentucky (21-11, 8-10 conf.) in the ASUN Semifinal from Alico Arena at 6:30 p.m.

The Eagles have soared this season, remaining undefeated in conference play and advancing in the tournament after winning 82-44 against Austin Peay on Saturday.

Now they turn their attention to the Colonels who lost 68-65 to the Eagles on Feb. 8 in a tight contest. The two teams meet again tonight with a spot in the championship game on the line.

FGCU is averaging 72.5 points per game this season and has an average winning margin of 19.1. But with a potential automatic bid to the NCAA tournament on the line, they’re going to have to deal with the Colonels best shot.

Eastern Kentucky won 77-60 against Stetson on Saturday to book their ticket.
