OU basketball bracketology update: Where Sooners stand in March Madness race

NORMAN — OU men’s basketball is one of the final teams in the NCAA tournament by most bracketology experts heading into the SEC tournament.

The Sooners defeated then-No. 19 Missouri 96-84 last Wednesday and survived against Texas 76-72 on the road on Saturday.

OU ranks 45th in the NET rankings and 39th in KenPom. Most feel the Sooners are likely safe regardless but a win over Georgia on Wednesday would erase any doubt heading into Selection Sunday. OU is 6-10 against Quad 1 opponents.

Head coach Porter Moser is aiming to make the tournament for the first time in his four seasons at OU. The Sooners were the first team out of the field last season.
