On a day where Jase Richardson has already been named as one of the top freshmen in the Big Ten Conference, college basketball analyst Andy Katz has positioned him as one of the top freshmen in the entire country, not just the Big Ten.
Andy Katz put out his national All-Freshman teams on Tuesday, and Jase Richardson made a first team that was headlined by superstar Cooper Flagg.
Richardson, who started the season as a regular bench rotation player for the Spartans, finished the season averaging 11.6 points per game for MSU. His stats would likely be even higher, but no one, including his own team, knew just how fast he was going to be ready for the increased offensive workload. Heading into the postseason tournaments, Richardson is the clear engine behind the Spartans’ offense.
